38 weeks and counting!

Here are the belly pics of Layla!

Me @ 38 weeks & 5 days

Me @ 37 weeks & 2 days

Only 10 more days to go!!! Hopefully!

So these last few days have been mighty stressful. With the whole hospital situation & going back last night to check on her. But its good to know that everything is going well with her. Last night around 11 Brian took me to the Birth center to check on her movement. She was moving less and less on Sat & Sun. I was getting sooo worried! So he took me in and they checked her out. Her heartbeat was a perfect 140 for an hour and she is doing well. They had this shocker thing that wakes the baby up wit the vibration and the noise! Yeah, it didn't even phase her. She still just sat quietly. Then about 10 mins later decided to get crazy in there.  So everything is fine with that. Plus with me my blood pressure was perfect so I am pretty sure I don't have pre-elcampsia! Thank goodness!!! They also checked to see if I am dilated at all last night. I got nothing. She is suppose to be here next week and I got nothing. Urgh I knew that I am going over my due date. I hope they dont do a c-section!!!  I haven't spit up any blood since Wednesday night in the hospital. It was soo weird and random! I have no clue what made that happen. Twas the strangest thing! At least Layla was okay during the whole thing. Although it was REALLY obnoxious sleeping there. The lady in the bed next to me was snoring soo badly & here machine was going off. My I.V. was going off. It was soo uncomfortable. I just wanted to be at home! I felt bad I was a snippy with the nurses only because I was SOOO annoyed with the whole process. They didn't put the scope to see what it was down my throat! The whole reason I was there was to take that test! Plus, my mom called my dad to come. When it was TOTALLY uncalled for. I honestly believe they make my blood pressure go up, up, up! Even the nurse said so.. haha.. I love them but geez calm down! Plus when my dad tries to compare all his problems to mine its REALLY obnoxious (has he ever had a baby in his belly, didnt think so)!!!... O well. I guess like Brian would say they are just trying to help. I would agree they have a been a big help! My mom said when I am in the hospital she can do laundry for Brian and I so there isn't a mess when we come home. That is only left to do is the laundry o and dishes but I am doing those tonight. It is soo hot here! I am burning up!! Haha, yesterday in the hospital the air was on full blast & i was STILL sweating! Get this kid out of me!!! I love all of Layla's things. She has soo many clothes its crazy. I called my G-ma the other day & she has some stuff for her as well. I think we are going to make a visit to her on Sunday. I miss her and I am sure she would like to see the 9 month belly!  We are soo excited for her to get here.. Aww man I can't wait!
Labor should be interesting. I really really don't want to use any drugs. But we shall see how that goes. Just go with the flow cause we have no clue what is going to happen!!

Happy New Years & 37 weeks!!!

Happy New Years Everyone! Brian & I's new years was spent hanging out. I made some snickerdoodles & we watched part of Lemony Snicket's. It was funny Brian chose that movie because it was the movie we saw on New Year's a couple of years ago. The neighbors were loud and excited and yelled happy new years. We were slowly drifting off! We kissed at midnight watched a little t.v. & passed out about 12:45. My perfect New Years! We got up this afternoon and Brian made a yummy breakfast at 1 in the afternoon. I turned 37 weeks yesterday, which is full term, physically for her. Its soo exciting! She can be due any day now. She has dropped extremely low, braxton hicks contractions, back aches, walking like a penguin, anxiety & crazy dreams. It sounds like I am on the right page! Saturday we will be getting the car seat installed & just kicking back. My mom has been driving me crazy with worry. My parents call everyday checking on me. Although her coming by the other day and doing dishes helped out so much! Also, buying a bouncer seat for her. We definitely have been keeping up the messy apartment. Keep it clean til she gets here. I have an ultrasound next week & a dr. appointment. I hope everything is going to go fine. It's really annoying that they scheduled me 3 weeks and not my last 2 week appointment! I dare them to do again. So after this one I will be going every week until the 22nd. If I go past my due date then we have to work a game plan!! I still need to post pics of the baby's stuff!! Soon, I swear! O and my nine month belly!

We finally got our tree & 9 months tomorrow!

Here is our cat Abigail next to our wonderful tree! She looks adorable!
I absolutely love it!
Here it is all lit up!
Finally, on saturday we picked up our tree. Okay, so its fake! So what?! I love love love it. Its blue (brian wanted it that way for Hanukkah)! We have plenty of ornaments  on there & it was really fun putting it all together! Although there aren't any presents under there yet. I still adore it! I still have to pick up and wrap some things for him. I have not had such a good time in the christmas crowds. People are REALLY obnoxious!!! Plus,  I have been lagging! I am so excited for our first Xmas together :). I have been having a rough week with this test I have to take to check if I have preeclampsia. Its been really stressful! Brian is going to take me to the lab to pick up the stuff I need for the test. But I know Layla & I will be fine if not then we have the best doctor & I know she will take good care of us. Plus if I do have it, she will be born WAY earlier than I thought. I am constantly tired & sleep all the time. We pretty much have everything together for her! Just insurance stuff, pediatrician, pack our bags & batteries! Thank goodness. Tomorrow hits my 9 month mark! I can't believe it!!! She will be here in less than 30 days. I am so excited for Christmas! Its going to be really nice. No, stress & no elephant in the room! I will post a pic of me from 2 weeks ago? Well a belly pic & some pictures of all the stuff set up in our room in a little bit.

A fun nite & week 35!

Brian & I at the Christmas Party!

Hmph! So I have made it this far! I am soo happy that she will be here soon. Last night Brian & I actually went out. Twas his works X-mas party & we had a blast. It was soo nice to meet some new co-workers of his. We had dinner with the the Director of Operations &  the VP of the company. It just so happen we sat with them! I only knew that one of them was the VP, as soon as he said his name I was like O CRAP the pressure is on! But we definitely did a great job keeping the conversation up. They were really nice. The VP Bjorn's wife was actually preggo & we talked about that. Frank, was REALLY nice! His wife, Pam also worked for one of my favorite stores for a private label. I REALLY wish I could've talked to her more though... :( . But Brian said he would put a good word for me in there. I mean I could use the job after the baby is born! I was happy to know that there ALOT of couples there who the husband is in gaming & the wife was in fashion! Sounds familiar?! We met a couple who lives right down the street from us! Brian should TOTALLY carpool! They have 2 kids and the wife owns her own boutique! EXCITING!  Hmm.. Brian looked adorable as usual & I actually looked nice seeing as I am 9 Months next week! He asked me to bake an obscene amount of cookies for his co-workers as gifts! I will be more that happy to do it. He won $200 bucks in a raffle! SWEET!  They love him so much at his job, they were just praising him & praising him all night long. He was definitely enjoying it :)..  I had a blast & I am sooo proud of him!! He works soo hard. We must finish cleaning this weekend. We slack off during the week! The baby stuff is almost together. We just need to hang her outfits & get like 2 more things & everything will be done with her. My nesting stage DEFINITELY settled in. I have been mopping, wiping, dusting & organizing. I am excited its all coming together. Its been like a month long process! We can't wait til its all done. I would still like to get some xmas decorations for the apt though. Just a few things. We have lights from last year no tree this year :(.. Its okay the cats would probably tear it apart. But I am sure we have some green and red somewhere around here! I feel bad because Brian isn't going to be with his family this year :(. DAMNIT LAYLA! haha.. But maybe next year we can go for her first xmas.. Ooo that would be nice to be by the fire with the snow. It would be soo exciting to have her there for her first time! .. We are doing something a little different this year. We might be going up to my sisters place this year for xmas. I am too excited. It will be a relaxing couple of days with my sister and her friends. Watching movies, cooking dinner & breakfast. A nice change of pace!
Anywho, I am excited for next week & I am making plenty of goodies for all. I think baking is always the best gift!!! *toast* To Christmas time!

Its been a long road.

Layla's first pair of ballet flats!

So within the last 8 1/2 months I have been through alot. I feel as though there is only a certain group of people who understand what exactly your body goes through during this time. I am talking about pregnancy. Thats right! The sweating, carpal tunnel, swelling everything, rashes, headache, body aches & fatigue. I have learned so much about myself, strangers, family, friends & everything in between.  Besides all the struggles & the anxiety I am facing now I find myself at ease. I am so happy to be bringing in a child who will be unimaginably loved & cared for. Who will have a father who is sensitive, hilarious & an all around amazing person. I am so happy to be a mother who can do for her child no matter what. I can be lazy at times but when it comes down to it I am a hardworking, goal orientated person who gets things done. I didn't graduate from college for nothing! Brian & I haven't gotten along any better since we found out on that warm June night that changed our lives! Even though I do NOT want to leave the house &  I am completely in my nesting stage I am really happy, excited, nervous, exhausted & full of emotions!!
With accomplishing one of the hardest goals I set for myself this year. I feel as though I can do anything. I graduated college. I know people wouldn't look as though FIDM is a hard school, I definitely beg to differ. Those 2 years were sooo hard! But well worth it. I basically put myself through school, I stayed up nightly doing projects & waking up at 5:30 in the morning. I would take the bus to a train ride with crazy people walk two blocks and make it! I did it. That's just the half of it. Not to mention the car accident, having to move out my house of 10 years & still dealing with my family. I still did it. It is the greatest feeling & that will never change.
There are many changes ahead with Layla Eleanor (yes that is her name) on the way. I feel as though I got this on lock down! With the help of supportive people & people who don't worry so much we can do this. I don't need people to worry I need them to to be supportive. I have to worry about myself and not others my whole life. I don't need anyone else to worry for me. I just need support!
I am a intelligent, strong willed, free spirited, wish beyond my years person. I have faith & so should others with what we can do.
Brian & I have grown up so much together. We push ourselves to do better & better everyday! We are there for each other & there is no one else who knows me better in the world.  4 1/2 years & going strong!
I cannot wait until this person I have carried around for months gets here. I am so proud of us. I love you Brian & our sweet precious baby girl, Layla.
We can do this.
